Poly-Hydroxy Activated PEGs

Overview of Poly-Hyroxyl Activated PEG

NOF developed Poly-Hydroxy activated PEG which has four hydroxyl groups. Since this SUNBRIGHT® XT series has four hydroxyl groups in the end of PEG chain, it has high hydrophilic property. By the high hydrophilic property, non-specific adsorption of proteins can be depressed compared with the conventional methoxy PEG. Further more, even if molecular wight of PEG is small, it can hold a much larger number of water molecules compared with methoxy PEG.
