MODIPER® A, C series

The functional polymer additives MODIPER® A, C series are innovative type graft copolymers, consisting of polyolefin (MODIPER® A) or polycarbonate (MODIPER® C) as a main chain and polyvinyl as a branch polymer, which are exclusively manufactured by NOF CORPORATION utilizing NOF’s developed grafting technology.

MODIPER® A, C series can improve the mechanical property, surface property, compatibility and others of thermoplastic resins by the addition of 1 – 10 %, especially tribological properties.

MODIPER® A, C series are an additive with high molecular weight, so it can keep the mechanical, thermal, molding properties of any resins. Furthermore, it doesn’t cause migration and evaporation from the resin.

The MODIPER® A, C series are friendly for the environment, so that no halogen compounds are contained.

Result of Sliding Test

Evaluation of POM contained MODIPER® A1100 or PTFE shows as follows. MODIPER® A1100 can improve the Tribological property (abrasion loss and coefficient of kinetic friction).

The tribological property of MODIPER® A1100 is better than that of PTFE.
